The response and report review

Deputy · McKinley County Sheriff’s Office

Miguel Bittony

The primary responding deputy, author of the investigative report, and signer of the September 10, 2026 criminal complaint against Shubham.

Ask him: How were the female passenger’s statements documented, and why does the signed complaint differ from the investigative report?

Ask to leave a message for Deputy Miguel Bittony. Contact source: his MCSO business card.

Sergeant · McKinley County Sheriff’s Office

Savannah Benally

Named in the investigative report as its reviewer. Sheriff Maiorano later described the investigation as approved by Sgt. Benally.

Why contact county administration about MCSO?

Sheriff Maiorano copied both Dimas and Money on his August 25, 2026 email directing staff not to respond to the female passenger’s emails and to forward them to Chief Deputy Jim. That is the case-specific reason to ask these officials what administrative follow-up they took. Read the sheriff’s email.

Passenger’s update — September 21, 2026: The female passenger has still received no response from either Dimas or Money to her follow-up to them about the directive.

County Manager

Anthony Dimas, Jr.

The county’s chief administrative officer, responsible for county administration and carrying out County Commission policy.

Ask him: What follow-up did he take after being copied on the sheriff’s directive? How does the county route a complaint about MCSO leadership, and who is responsible for answering it?

County office: (505) 863-1400

Ask for County Manager Anthony Dimas, Jr.

Deputy County Manager

Brian Money

The deputy chief administrative officer. His direct responsibilities include Human Resources, Information Systems, and Metro Dispatch—county functions relevant to staff concerns, email records, and 911/dispatch records.

Ask him: What follow-up did he take after being copied on the sheriff’s directive? Were concerns referred to the county departments he oversees, and how were they handled?

County office: (505) 863-1400

Ask for Deputy County Manager Brian Money.

How this relates to the sheriff’s office: MCSO is led by an elected sheriff. Dimas and Money are listed here for county administrative accountability and their documented inclusion in this correspondence. The county does not list MCSO among Money’s directly supervised departments.

Both forms let you write on the county website and request an email copy. Include Shubham’s case details and your specific question. The phone number is the shared county office line; ask for the official by name.
